Honeysuckle Group
Every option carries an id. Call the ids you want kept and the rest are dropped; the brand book then gets built on the keepers only. Nothing here is canon yet, and nothing enters the registry until you pick.
The wordmark itself is not in question — every mark below is a fill swap on the same locked outlines from site/assets/lockup.svg. The letterforms are never re-cut.
01
Accent
The one colour in the interface. Everything else is ground, ivory and stone. Sage is the incumbent; it was pulled out of the UV plate, which is also the argument against it — it makes the group wear sector 01's colour.
A · Sage — current
Drawn from the photograph, so the page stays a single colour system. Reads environmental, which is now one block of three rather than the whole company.
A1 dark · A2 light
B · Bronze
Warm metal, not yellow. Money register, and true to the real flower, which is cream-to-gold. Low chroma keeps visible distance from Yellow & Bloom's #D4A017 — the one adjacency this brand must not create.
B1 dark · B2 light
C · Bone — no hue
No accent hue at all. Most institutional, no sector coding, no collision with anything in the portfolio. The cost is that the interface loses its only spark of colour.
C1 dark · C2 light
| Accent | On ground #0B0D0C | On ivory #EDEBE4 | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sage #9EB2A4 | 8.69 | 1.88 | dark only — needs #4E6355 on light |
| Bronze #BFA06A | 7.85 | 2.08 | dark only — needs #7A5F2C on light |
| Bone #CFC9BA | 11.81 | 1.38 | dark only — needs #5C605B on light |
| Y&B #D4A017 | 8.21 | 1.99 | never — belongs to another brand |
02
App-mark
The square icon — favicon, PWA tile, avatar. The live one is h · c, cut when the second word was capital. It encodes a word that has already changed once, and at 16px two letters and a dot are mush. The single h survives any future rename and is legible small.
D · single h — recommended
D-sage · D-bronze · D-bone
E · h · c — incumbent, stale
E-sage · E-bronze · E-bone
F · h · g
The literal translation of the new name. Not cut — it needs a Jost g glyph pulled from the font binary, which is a separate job. Say the word and I'll cut it, but I'd argue against it on the same grounds that killed h · c: a mark that spells the second word breaks every time the second word moves.
03
Single-ink cuts
One colour throughout, for stamping, embossing, single-ink print and any surface that cannot carry two values. Accent-independent — these stay whichever way section 01 goes.
G1 mono ivory · G2 mono ink
04
Imagery
The accent choice and the photograph are one decision, not two. The interface is meant to be colourless so the photograph is the only colour on the page — which means the accent has to belong to the plate. Sage belongs to a UV plate. Bronze does not.

H1 UV, current · H2 warm, to be generated
| Reading | What it signals |
|---|---|
| H1 · UV fluorescence | Specimen photography. Laboratory, biotech, plant science — a sector, not the group. The last sector-coded element on the page after the pixels went. |
| H2 · warm, museum-lit | Heirloom rather than specimen. Reads as an institution with a past, which is the register the whole rebrief pointed at. |
05
Type — settled, shown for the record
Not up for selection. Reenie Beanie for the word and Jost for the tagline are baked into the locked outlines; Geist and Geist Mono carry the page. Deliberately not Inter Tight (Yellow & Bloom) or Space Grotesk (humans&co).
